About the MAMS Program
The Master of Science in Medical Sciences Program at Boston University is one of the oldest and most successful Special Master’s Programs in the United States. Since its founding in 1985, MAMS has helped over three thousand students gain admission to medical schools across the country. The program provides an academically rigorous environment that mirrors the first year of medical school, allowing students to strengthen their credentials while demonstrating their readiness for the demands of a medical education.

Program Structure
The MAMS curriculum consists of 32 graduate credit hours completed over four semesters. The program can be finished in either one year by enrolling in Fall, Spring, and both Summer semesters, or stretched across two years for students seeking additional research experience.
